Do You Have the Need for SPEED?

Nearly 35 million Americans participate in the sport of go karting every year. Since Art Ingels built the very first go kart back in 1956, made with not much more than scrap parts from a two-stroke engine, the sport has caught on like wildfire. The innovation of electric karts that eliminated the noxious fumes of the original gas-powered karts led to an indoor karting explosion that has created a sensation around the globe. It’s a thrill-infused form of fun that the whole family can enjoy! There really is nothing that can beat the adrenaline rush of racing around the track in a vehicle that is so aerodynamic and rides so close to the ground… it’s a real thrill!

Studies show that the average go kart enthusiast is around 30 years old, but kids just love the sport! And with the safety restrictions and speed limits you find at most indoor tracks, like iPlay America’s IPA Speedway, it’s a great form of family-fun! Karting is an incredible activity and a great choice for birthday parties, corporate events, and memorable team-building experiences.

Today’s modern electric karts are very safe and can even be driven by young children, at iPlay America drivers must be at least 10 years old and 56” to drive a single go kart, to drive double cars with a passenger, drivers must be at least 18 years old and 60” tall, and passengers must be at least 4 years old and 36” tall. Still, the fact that there is no clutch or gears to deal with makes the sport easy to learn and fun for even the youngest would-be Mario Andretti or Dale Earnhardt out there! When you get behind the wheel of a go kart all you really have to be concerned with are these three things: the accelerator, the brakes, and steering the kart! You don’t even need a license! One of the greatest things about the advent of indoor karting is the fact that NOW you can drive all-year long, regardless of what the weather is like outside. Which means this is not a seasonal hobby, but something you can enjoy anytime!

Go karting is an exceptional activity for families to share. It’s competitive, fast paced, and exciting for kids. Learning to master operating a go kart on the track is a terrific confidence builder, and an outstanding way for kids to learn the basics of driving a car. Racing helps children focus and improve their basic motor skills and reflexes while having a grand time sitting behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle. Most of all, it’s FUN!

Nothing quite compares to that wonderful rush of excitement that sweeps over you as you sit waiting for the starting light to turn green, anticipating the thrill of sudden acceleration and the impending race. Your senses sharpen and you feel your heart rate begin to build and then… BOOM you’re off to the races! So if you’re looking for a fun, and fantastic way to spend time with your friends and family, then a few thundering laps around iPlay America’s IPA Speedway is just the ticket! Bring the whole family, because… It’s time to start your engines!
