iPlay America is proud to announce that one of its team members, birthday party host Sara Hosbach, won the first-place, $500 scholarship award from the New Jersey Attractions Association (NJAA) for her outstanding achievements.
“Sara is an exemplary team member who works tirelessly to ensure every child who attends a birthday party at iPlay America has a memorable experience. This achievement is well deserved,” said iPlay America Director of Marketing Kimberly Simon.
Hosbach has been part of the iPlay America team for nearly four years. She said her experience in the amusement industry has had a profound impact on her personally and professionally.
“Through iPlay America I have learned excellent communication skills and practiced great teamwork. I have grown into a young woman unafraid to do what is right, and this experience taught me necessary interpersonal skills, as well as the belief that I can bring to the world the fun iPlay America has brought to so many guests,” Hosbach said. “As a party host there is no better feeling than making a child’s birthday the best they have ever had. Being a part of these everlasting memories reminds me how important my job is. Over the years, I have been trained in other departments, including rides, banquets, attractions, camps and the team that sets and cleans party rooms. No matter what shift I am scheduled for, I am working for a management that believes in my abilities.”
Hosbach attends Ramapo College in Mahwah, where she is involved in myriad other activities in addition to working at iPlay America. She has lofty goals for life after college.
“Although it might seem so far out of reach, my dream career would be working for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) or a similar organization,” she said.
“Knowing Sara, I believe she will accomplish everything she sets her mind to,” Simon said. “The attractions industry is a great place for work skills formation, and a great place to launch a career. We’re happy to be a part of this for Sara.”
