For Immediate Release>> Thursday, March 13, 2014. Freehold, N.J. – iPlay America and New Jersey’s Thunder 106 FM will host two great country artists in iPlay America’s Event Center in coming weeks.
Phil Vassar will perform on Thursday, April 10, with opening acts Lyndsey Highlander and New Jersey’s own After the Reign.
Vasser has made a lasting name for himself during his 13 years in the country music business with perennial favorites “Just Another Day in Paradise” and “I’ll Take That as a Yes (the Hot Tub Song)” along with his more recent billboard top 100 hit “Love is Alive.” Vassar has released eight albums and has earned two ASCAP Songwriter of the Year awards, Billboard Country Songwriter of the Year, and countless hits as a singer and songwriter. He wrote Jo Dee Messina’s hits “Bye, Bye” and “I’m Alright,” along with Tim McGraw’s hit “My Next Thirty Years” and Alan Jackson’s hit “She’s Right on the Money.” He recently launched his own Rodeowave Entertainment label and has promoted other artists including The Lumineers, Neal McCoy, and new artists Miss Willie Brown, High Valley, Old Dominion and Sam Riddle.
After the Reign will perform “Jersey Strong,” an original song that has been named the official anthem of New Jersey by the organization Stronger Than The Storm.
General admission tickets are $20. VIP tickets are $55 and include a ticket to the show, artist meet and greet, event poster, and a $20 iPlay America game card.
Parmalee will take the stage on Thursday, May 15. This band’s country rock sound has its roots in the bluegrass, traditional country, southern rock and blues covers the guys grew up hearing their families play.
Parmalee recently made history when its multi-week No. 1 smash “Carolina” became the longest climbing single by a duo or group in the 24-year history of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. “Carolina” was recently certified GOLD (for over 500,000 in sales) by the RIAA. Their debut album, “Feels Like Carolina,” has earned critical praise from People, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsday, Billboard and more.
